I'm Back... I Think...

So far so good....

The holidays have been wonderful for us so far...one more to go!

In the short two weeks I have for a break we have: had Clint's family over,  went on a Tacky Sweater Christmas Party Bus, visited Mother White and family, I went to Waco to visit more family, had a birthday celebramos for Clint, hosted Christmas Eve dinner with my dad and his wife, visited Clint's family in Mineola, got Charlad from the Tyler airport, had Christmas with Clint's immediate family, and had a cookout at Jared and Angela's! Wow that was SOO much to cram into two weeks. Not to mention the shopping, and shopping : )

It was really nice that everything fell into place and we were able to see all the family we were able to get to. I love Clint and I could not imagine doing the holidays with out him!!

One BIG resolution this year is that I am going to try to keep up with blogging...Hopefully it will last through at least the spring!!

Happy New Year Everyone! May 2011 bring many blessings!
And  a BIG thank you to my soon to be sis-in-law Carla for showing me how to create some graphics on my own!!!! Thank you Carla!!!!!

January 11-17

Monday was great! I came home and one of my good friends (Ticia) came over to our place and met our sweet dog Daisy. Daisy was SO excited that I let her walk up to someone on the street (Ticia) that she peed herself!!! Haha!! That made me decide that maybe I should trust her a little bit more and actually let her mingle with people on the streets in our neighborhood. Now reflecting on this decision I realize that I did let her meet a new person today on the street so I feel good : ) ..... My sister was next to join us (any time I get with her I feel special because she lives SO far away and has a family of her own)..... Then we all settled in to watch the Bachelor! Clint decided that he was not going to watch the show so he headed upstairs to his man room (that I am slowly taking over).... just kidding babe! It was SO much fun, and it was a WONDERFUL way to start off the week!!! All in all it was a great girls night with two of my favorite people! Love ya'll both so much!!

Friday night I met up with a dear friend ~ Adrienne ~ It was SO good to see her and to spend time with her. The rain and expensive 'mexican' restaurant without margaritas did NOT stop us : ) (we walked out!!) It was nice to run into a friend from work as well!

The week flew by and before I knew it it was time for my 'surprise' date for Clint! I gave him a hint a day starting on Wednesday. See if you can figure it out:
- It's a place and the first word starts with an 'O'
- The second word starts with a 'T'
- It's in Fort Worth.

If you guessed the Omni Theater you are CORRECT : )

He had never been to the Omni and I grew up going there so it was really fun to share that with him. Clint gets motion sickness so I was a little hesistant but he actually fell asleep during the film!! It was The Alps and I actually found it quite moving and so did Clint - it moved him into a deep sleep!!! Before the film we went to Joe T. Garcias and we absolutely LOVE that place. So I guess the surprise date for Clint ended up being a date for me! haha!!! Either was we had a great time together and laughed a ton!

Sunday the Cowboys played and I am sure you all know how it turned out. We had a couple of friends over so it made things better. I decided that it shouldn't be a day just for the boys so I made a theme for the day....Jerseys and Heels!! It was fun and it put a little spark into a day that usually consists of me having NO SPARK : ) Lol! I'm telling you if the networks would show the half time show it would really help their viewing numbers go up! Girls would actually watch!!!!

I cannot talk about my week and my life without bringing up something SO much bigger than me and something extremely important ~ Haiti

Over the week Haiti was hit with the 7.0 earthquake. This is extremely sad and anyone who can help please do. Every dime counts for these people who need so much right now. Clint and I both texted the Red Cross number 90999 with 'Haiti' and they will charge your cell $10. Anything is better than nothing especialy when others are in need. They have my heart and my prayers with them.

Great Friends = Great Tiimes!

Last night we had a few people over to our place to watch the Cowboys win their first playoff game in a LONG time.

We had tons of snacks and were able to use our new margarita machine and *semi new mini chopper to entertain and make all kinds of things.

It was a lot of fun and our rescue dog Daisy was SO sweet and loving towards everyone!!! She was very social!! We are so happy that she is opening up and not being shy!!

The highlight of the night was the snuggie and let me tell you it was a hit! We couldn't find a balance in the temp. in the room so most of the night we were all FREEZING but Royce was the smart one who snagged the snuggie first and he loved it, and wore it most of the night!!!! (pictures tell the whole story)

Thanks for the great times and the great memories!!!! We love ya'll!!!!

*semi new mini chopper - not really new in terms of age but in terms of usage - it has been in the box for approx. 2yrs and we are finally finding all different uses for it....2yrs later : ) but we LOVE it!

First Blog!!!

Wow....I'm a blogger!!

Well I caved in and decided to create my own blog! Clint's sister and sister-in-law both have blogs and we have such a good time looking at them so I decided to follow the lead! This will be a great way to keep in touch and to keep everyone up to date with our lives.

Clint and I live in a townhome in the Uptown area of Dallas. We LOVE our neighborhood and we LOVE living SO close to our friends!!! It is also very nice because we live in the CITY!!! I grew up in the middle of nowhere (I loved it don't get me wrong)....but I had NO idea what was waiting for me!!! Fashion - culture - education - great jobs - meeting interesting people from all over - and having all of this within a moments reach!!! And of course the best part was college - where I met Clint and the great circle of friends we have now. So I guess I now consider myself a 'city girl' : )

I hope our family and friends that are not able to be near us enjoy reading about the day to day dealings of our life!!! We wish all of you were here with us!!
